8 History Documentary Worst Jobs in History- Medieval

As part of the Year 8 curriculum on "Medieval Europe'" we will be studying daily life, society and economy of the Medieval Europe.

To consolidate and apply our understanding of these topics, we plan to show the documentary from the series Worst Jobs in History, the episode being that of Medieval Europe. This series and episode are classified as PG (Parental Guidance Recommended) by the Australian Classification Board.

Students will be guided through the viewing process by their teacher, and coursework and discussion will ensure they fully comprehend the historical context and themes presented in the documentary. The documentary will be evaluated by History students via a worksheet exploring the employment opportunities and impact on daily experience in the Middle Ages.

If you consent to your child watching this documentary episode as part of the curriculum, please provide your approval online.

If you do not consent to your child watching the historical documentary, alternative coursework will be provided for them to complete. Parents are able to contact the class teacher to discuss the nature of this activity and relevance to the curriculum.

Permission is sought for all year 8 students currently studying History.
