Rock and Water Program

Date

22 September

Time

2:00-3:00 PM

Location
THS Staff Common Room

The Rock and Water program is being utilised as a targeted wellbeing and behaviour program for a group of year 9 boys. The Rock and Water program is social skills and self-defense training program designed to empower teenagers, with the tools to develop self-awareness, self-confidence, and effective communication skills. The program combines physical exercises, role-playing, and discussions to promote personal growth, enhance social interactions, and prevent bullying. We have chosen selected year 9 boys in response to consultation sessions held over term 1 and 2 that occurred with Alice Dunn (Student Support Officer) and Michael Blakeley (Head Teacher- Student Wellbeing Initiatives). We found that the students engaged well with these sessions and wanted to ensure they had first opportunity to participate in this ongoing wellbeing program.
