Model UN - 11 Legal Studies

Students independently research their assigned country before representing their nation’s foreign policy in debate sessions, which are run almost entirely by the real Security Council’s rules of procedure. With our program, leadership, problem solving, and interpersonal skills are developed through lobbying and negotiation during debate with other participants. We hope to expand students’ horizons with debate on important international issues, teaching students about the nuances of global issues that are increasingly relevant to young Australians.
