Our principal and staff

Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.

Welcome from our principal

I am delighted to welcome you to our school. Here, we encourage every student to discover what they love, build their skills, and become confident and capable young people.

Our school strives to be a friendly, inclusive and welcoming place where we respect the needs of all students. Our teachers work hard to make the curriculum interesting, relevant and engaging to optimise students’ learning potential.

Besides regular classes, we offer approximately 38 co-curricular activities. Whether your child likes art, sports, technology, or helping the community, there is something here for them to enjoy.

We believe that parents, carers, and the school should work closely together to help every student succeed. We invite you to be involved—ask questions, share your thoughts, and join us in supporting your child’s learning.

Our School Excellence Plan drives continuous improvement and focuses on three main areas:

  • We want every student to continue to build their skills in literacy and numeracy and across the full curriculum. Our teachers use explicit teaching strategies that are clear and consistent to help students succeed.
  • We believe in fostering a collective, school-wide culture of high expectations through quality teaching practices, student achievement, attendance and engagement, staff and student wellbeing, and student behaviour.
  • Strong partnerships and communication between students, teachers, parents, and the wider community.

Thank you for trusting us with your child’s education. We look forward to welcoming you and your family to Turramurra High School and helping your child achieve their best.

Warm regards,

Ms Desley Pfeffer

Principal
